Somebody has sold me a cultivar which is not on your list, why is this?

Unfortunately there are so many cultivars of Venus Flytrap that rouge names have now got into the works. At the last count there were literally hundred's of different cultivars being advertised on websites and forums across the world.

The problem is that many of these cultivars are either exactly the same and renamed for drama, or are so similar that they should be catalogued under an existing cultivar.

To combat this the International Carnivorous Plant Society have produced an official list of all accepted registered cultivars. In order to make it to this list the cultivar must be different enough from any other existing cultivar.

At present we have only the official list of cultivars in our Cultivars section, however we will be publishing unofficial interesting varieties soon.
